A closer look at Coping Cards
Use these quick tools to get your mind out of a misbelief loop. This questions serve as great prompts to get to the core of the obstacle that is keeping you from crushing your goals.
Card 1- What are my Triggers?
- What are you telling yourself right now? Is it true?
- What happened? (trigger)
- What did you do? (impulse check)
- How did you feel? (result check)
Card 2 – Dig Deeper
- What caused the thoughts?
- What did you think?
- How did you feel?
- What did you want to do?
- What did you do?
- What was the result?
Card 3 – Focus on What Matters
- What is my desire?
- What am I committed to?
- What gets me closer?
Pro top: Don’t get lost in the Cosmic Soup of Distractions!
Make a list of distractions on a toss away post it. Write down distractions as they come up, then get back to work. When you are done, you can review the list of distractions and see if you are still interested in watching a giraffe give birth.
